An important part of children’s dentistry is providing thorough optimal dental care to young patients with special developmental, behavioral, or other specific healthcare needs. At Wabash Valley Children’s Dentistry, we know that every child is unique and therefore dental care that suits one child may not be the dental care best suited for another child. We proudly offer dental care to all children in and near Terre Haute, regardless of their personal needs. It is our goal to provide inclusive dental care and we welcome all families with children who have special needs.

Apart from typical treatment, dental care for children with special needs includes specific education and training as well as increased mindfulness, consideration, accommodative measures, and adaptation.

Our staff are trained to provide oral health care to children living with cognitive, physical, sensory, mental, or developmental impairments. Our staff communicates with parents and caregivers of each child to develop a plan for treatment that limits stress or anxiety for the patient.
